"It is truly an honor for any cricketer to captain their country and it is a great privilege for me to continue in this role," she said,

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on May 12 (Thursday) re-appointed senior player Bismah Maroof as the skipper of Pakistan for the 2022-23 cycle.

The Women in Green had a horrible run during the 2022 Women’s World Cup in New Zealand

as they could win only one of their seven round-robin matches and were knocked out in the league stage.

However, the cricket board of Pakistan has put their faith in the senior player once again.

Maroof was named Pakistan captain in 2016. The 30-year-old has represented Pakistan in 115 ODIs and has amassed a total of 2973 runs at an average of 28.50.
