Delhi Government Bans Single-Use Plastic (SUP)

Delhi government has inclined towards not using Single-Use Plastic (SUP) anymore and has started campaigns to spread awareness.

A grace period of 10 day is given to all business, which means their will a little leniency on not using SUP in the initial 10 day.

The government will be providing incentives to the SUP manufacturers who are willing to switch over non-plastic alternatives.

One of the officials said "banning SUP without providing the alternative can effect business negatively considering inflation.

"The ban comes when the unemployment rates are high" said the environment minister Gopal Rai.

A round table conference to be held on Sunday with food delivering companies and other businesses discussing the alternatives of Sup
