Tata Motors becomes second highest car maker in May 2022

Tata Motors, India's largest electric car manufacturer, has claimed a year-on-year increase of 185 percent.

With 43,341 units sold in May 2022, it surpassed Hyundai Motor India as the country's second most popular carmaker.

In the same month the previous year, the company sold 15,181 units.

Tata Motors sold 41,587 vehicles in April of this year. While Maruti Suzuki continues to be India's unquestioned number one vehicle manufacturer,

Hyundai and Tata are in a perpetual battle for second place, with over 40% of the market share.

Hyundai is frequently India's second largest automaker, but Tata Motors has just registered a few months,

including May 2022, when they defeated Hyundai to become India's second largest automaker.

Tata Motors now offers a variety of models in India, including the Tiago, Tigor, Punch, Nexon, Altroz, Harrier, and Safari.

As part of its 'Forever New' marketing, the corporation is constantly refreshing its lineup.

The firm just introduced the new Kaziranga Editions to its SUV lineup.
